Boy & Girl on RR tracks
Carvings by Charles Wolfe
Scissortail and Saw Whit Owl are carved out of basswood and painted with
acrylic. Girl and boy on RR track are carved from basswood. Cardinals are
carved from Tupelo and mounted on manzanita burls. Gyrfalcon is carved from
Basswood and mounted on a sassafras piece of drift wood with chipmunk inside
peering out. Girl in swing is carved from basswood with clear lacquer finish.
White swan is carved from basswood and painted with acrylic.

Mother & Child is Walnut, Moose Horn with ducks on walnut base and cougar
& ram are butternut.
Blue parakeet, carved in basswood and
painted with acrylics, won a blue ribbon at
our show in 1999.Rainbow trout, carved
in basswood and painted with acrylics,
mounted on driftwood, rocks are carved
basswood.Pair of mourning doves, carved
in basswood including pine cones and
driftwood, painted with acrylics, mounted
on cherry base.Nuthatch, carved in
basswood, painted with acrylics and
mounted on oak tree bark.Eagles in
relief--this John Engler pattern is carved in
basswood and painted with watercolors.
Wood duck--this was carved in an Arline
Mouzer class, using basswood and acrylic
paints. Rocks are carved basswood.
